Please plan to attend our club meeting to meet other members, learn of new club endeavors, and see finishers presented their trophies. If you are a finisher and haven’t had your trophy presented to you in front of the members, bring your trophy with you and let Dave Bell know that you’ll be presented your trophy so that we can add you to the agenda. Photo ID is required to pick up your packet. You may pick up someone else’s bag, but you must have a photocopy of the person’s ID and a written note authorizing you to do so. You will need to use your race bag to check in your gear on race day.
We will have a booth at the expo. Come visit with other members, update your stats, and help us encourage others to join the club.
The reunion meeting is from 3pm-4pm on Friday, 9/13/19. The room is still TBA. Please stop by our booth to get the location.
Race Day Saturday 9/14/19. Marathon and half marathon start is 6:45 am.
Race day parking will be in the parking lots and the parking garages directly to the south of the finish line (near 1300 South and Fort Union Blvd. in Cottonwood Heights, UT). Nuterra Parking Area: 7000 S Union Park Ave., Cottonwood Heights, UT.
Full marathon buses will load from the corner of 1300 East and Park Centre Drive near Denny’s and will depart from 4:00-5:00 am. The half marathon buses will load from the NW corner of 1300 East and Fort Union Blvd across from Maverik. They will depart from 4:30-5:30 am. Please arrive on time and make sure you board the correct bus. Your bib is your ticket to get on the bus.
Because road closures for the race must be re-opened for normal traffic, they are required to set course time limits. Road closures will be lifted based on a 6:33 marathon time. Any runners still on the course after the rolling cut-off times may continue to proceed along the course route to the finish area, but aid station and traffic control support will not be available.
For the full marathon, the cut-off time is equivalent to a 15:00/mile pace. This is equivalent to a very light jog or brisk power walk. Because the half marathon begins further down the canyon and heads straight to the finish line after exiting the canyon, the cut-off pace for the half marathon is slower than the full marathon, at roughly 30:00/mile.

If you want to be sure to receive the correct item and size, you can send Paula Boone ([email protected]) an email and we’ll make sure we have your items ready for pick-up. Please email by Wednesday evening because we fly on Thursday morning. Please go to the club web site to choose your merchandise.
