Many of you read my post admonishing U of A, DHC Medical Facility and others concerning the suicide of Megan Rondini after her alleged rape by a wealthy Tuscaloosa businessman. My post purpose was to admonish those who could have given Megan the support she so desperately needed and the lack of help provided for any and all sexual offenses in a large university town.

Well this morning, I open a post investigated and written by Donald V. Watkins concerning the drug scene (specifically date rape drugs) and its ties to the accused rapist and local bar facilities in and around U of A. Let me begin by saying again, we live in a nation that should always act on the basis of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law. And second, I have had many reservations in the past concerning the reputation of the writer of this article. However, of late, his investigative reporting into Alabama political issues have played out to be 100% accurate every time. vogue chic garments for prom

Some of his allegations in this article are vague and he doesn't seem to give thorough evidence of accusations. But for the most part, we should ALL be concerned by the issues raised and the evidence he provides in his article. Especially the undercover work done by local police and how that plays out. No one should be above the law. And it gives me great concern that this is so prevalent , especially when I personally have had and will likely again have young family members attending U of A.

It is time for The University, its President, The Board of Trustees, The City of Tuscaloosa, The State of Alabama and the Student Government Association to wake up and do more to stop these persons and businesses that are such a threat to our young people. It is time for the SGA to start a grass roots effort to educate and warn students of these threats. This is a travesty. I hope and pray that the welfare of these young people will become the priority they deserve to be instead of the greed and heinous behavior of those who are allegedly driving these crimes.
